My apologies for the lack of updates. I’ve been really sick lately and completely distracted with school!
I’ll sum things up for you
Regarding Podcast:
- Podcast will be more about other things, what you ask? I don’t know yet.
Space Hunter Nero:
- I’ve been working on revamping the old pages, but sadly, I need to work on school more. Once in a while there will be a few pages of updates, but that’s about it, when it gets to the summer, I will definitely be more active with the comic!
Shonen Jump Reviews:
- I now have a subscription, this means I will be getting the issues early now, and will be able to have more time to review them by the time it gets put on store shelves. Also, they will no longer be done in podcasts, they will be written in posts.

February 2009 Issue Cover
Alright, to start things off with the issue reviews, we have issue 2 in 2009. The February issue! These will be categorized by the Manga shown in order, as well as some articles. So without further ado…
Naruto – First off, Shonen Jump is seriously behind in Naruto that the March issue will see a HUGE jump by over 30 chapters. They are still at the searching for Sasuke point.
6/10 – Gets points for at least remaining good.
One Piece – Quite insane, as One Piece always is, though I do believe they are also very behind and may be jumping forward in March as well.
5/10 – Behind, and it’s getting tiring seeing Shonen Jump censor cleavage.
Slam Dunk – I am not really into these types of Manga, but I decided to try giving it a read, I must say that it is a pretty nice Manga, it’s also very funny as well.
8/10 – Cute story, nice cast of characters, and non-insane humor.
Yu Yu Hakasho – The characters are done with their training and decide to head home. But Yusuke is troubled by not fighting much anymore and seems to be tempted to pick fights. So he searches for help with his problem.
7/10 – I don’t read Yu Yu Hakasho much, but it is still a interesting story.
BoBoBo – Bo Bo – BoBo – Funny as hell, this series constantly amuses me with all the randomness that goes on.
9/10 – Very funny series, and I mean come on, we get to see Super BoBo! AKA, Super Market BoBo trained by Tuna!
Bleach – The Soul Reapers continue their fight with the Arrancars, Tsubaki is repaired and Orihime meets another person with the same powers as her. Captain Aizen however has his sights set on her.
8/10 – Good, but again, Matsumotou’s cleavage is horribly edited. Whoever does the editing for this needs to be fired because they make it too obvious.
Yu-Gi-Oh GX – Syrus continues his mathematical-continuity-challenged incorrect duel with Chazz, honestly, you have to friggin play the card game to understand the main issues with this chapter. The math is all wrong, and I’m not smart at math, it’s just obviously and clearly – severely wrong. Whoever does the translations for Yu-Gi-Oh GX’s manga needs to be fired for poor translation on top of their poor basic math skills.
3/10 – Nice story for it, but some pages got repeated over again for no apparent reason making it kind of confusing. Not only that, but the translations seem to be horribly done.
Promo Card: Your basic Naruto Uzumaki card, a one-shot effect you can abuse, as well as being the strongest Naruto when in injured status. Use him for his effect then beat the living crap out of him on purpose to get a 6/0 Genin with Clone Status and Growth.

Some of you may know, I am an avid Shonen Jump fan, always trying to get the issues every month whenever I can (Though sadly I miss a lot, but my new years resolution is to keep up with it and buy every issue from now on). So I decided to put up a information widget showing the current Monthly Shonen Jump and it’s included promo. As well as the Japanese one. This also includes the “Read Manga Online” updates as well. Plus a link to recent reviews (Which I will be reviewing every new issue at some point) as well as other content like the current Tegami Bachi OVA. I am still looking for more types of widgets to add, but I currently have no idea what to do for those. I have added some of Shriek’s OCG news into the side-bar as well, to show info on the Yu-Gi-Oh OCG in Japan, as well as videos. I have also added the UFS Tournament schedule.

The main character called Ultimo, kick-ass looking isn't he?
Okay, so here I was a few days ago with my friends going out to grab some grub after a UFS Tournament, we went around wondering what restaurant to eat at, first we tried some snacks and decided to go to a nearby Shoppers Drug Mart. We didn’t find anything we liked, so I just bought myself a copy of the September issue of Shonen Jump. Recently I decided to read it since I haven’t gotten a chance to yet. I must say, it’s very impressive.
Summary:
The story starts with a man named Dr.Dunstan talking about how power is found in the heart. It is implied that after these scenes he committed suicide. During these scenes he talks about how Ultimo; the perfect good, and Vice; the perfect evil, are his last curse upon the world, they will awaken after the worlds last war.

Ultimo (left) and Vice (right)
1000 years later, a Noh Monster is attacking a city, Ultimo of course, being the perfect good, came to the city’s rescue. He then states that the creature is Vice in disguise using the power of his Gauntlet. Vice then reveals his identity and starts trash-talking Ultimo. The two begin a battle, out of anger, a soldier who used his vehicle, weapons, and war skills to represent himself, during Vice’s destruction he became angry and enraged. He then started firing his gun at Vice. Vice; confused about what it was then realized that it was mankind’s modern weaponery. He then uses his Gauntlet’s power to copy all their weapons, instantly creating a large barrage of guns. He then decides to put the humans at risk and begins to attack. Ultimo uses his Gauntlet’s shield power to protect them. Then comes in the “We don’t have to fight each other” line. Vice; angry and confused by his statement says that he was created to be the complete opposite of Ultimo, declaring himself Ultimo’s enemy. The battle continues on until Vice’s right arm is sliced off by Ultimo’s Crane Sword attack. As a last resort, Vice turns his other arm into a giant drum, when if used, it can destroy the entire city. Ultimo turns his legs into jets and rushes towards it to protect everyone. Ultimo’s speed avoids the blast and he quickly sends Vice into space, with relief; Ultimo was the victor. Because of this, both Ultimo and Vice were separated far away from the battle. It ends with our little freaked out soldier finding Vice’s severed arm, with the Gauntlet attached; he ends it saying that he can use it’s power. On another part of the planet, an old hiker finds Ultimo injured. It ends off there.
Personally, I loved it from the first chapter, the artwork and story is amazing. To top it off, it’s also a collaboration between Stan Lee; creator of X-Men and Spider Man, and Hiroyuki Takei; creator of Shaman King. I would love to see this series continue in Shonen Jump’s pages. I give it a 10/10.
If you’re up to getting the September 2008 issue of Shonen Jump, I highly recommend it, and if you’re a Yu-Gi-Oh player, you can also snag yourself a copy of the Dragonic Knight card.
